just curious as to what sort of power a stock b16 can take without sleeving?
what sort of boost etc..

i have the opportunity to sleeve it now while its all apart, i know its probably worth doing now then i wont have any hassels with it, but i'm just curious as to what sort of pressure the stock sleeves can take..

thanks

asuming your going to put in forged pistons, with the right set up you can make 300wkw on stanrard sleeves.

Re sleeve for more power than that:thumbsup:

If that's in AUD it's close. Here it's $1800 USD to put the Darton MID sleeves in, bore/hone, deck, clean, get a full ARP stud kit, and ship both ways. Toda will be a little more because of the name. I charge about $1400USD to do a darton 4 cylinder kit including shipping back. The MID sleeves retail is only about $700USD for a 4 cylinder. Just a rebore Darton kit is about half that or less.

$2500AUD = $1878.71USD. I don't think Toda's off.

See my 1st car page to see the MID sleeves... they're sexy!!

dynodave does sleeved engines these days.

U can make plenty of power on stock sleeves. MRJDM's car was much more then a handful with only 240kw atw.

Would it be wise to run a block guard with figures nearing this output? or would it be fine just running a decent headgasket like a commet or something?
