hey guys just flicking through my mates autosalon mag and came across this ad for typhoon selling a polished intake manifold for honda b16a and b18c. what do ya reckon.

this is their comparison test.

stock honda civic jdm type r engine---typhoon

peak HP---165.4---184.1
peak torque---115.6---129.6
Avg. hp---114.4---135.1
Avg. torque---105.6---119.5

so what do ya guys reckon is it for real? would it make for a decent bang for ur buck?

dont know whether it's at the wheels or not but they started with the stock engine and replaced the original manifold with the typhoon one and no other changes were made.

has anyone heard much about these typhoon manifolds??

i wonder how they compare to the ITR manifolds as an upgrade for B16A.

i reckon they are a POS lying advertiser.

No intake on their own whether the metal is chrome, titanium, farken whatever will make that power. not from just a straight intake swap over.

hmm although peak numbers can be indictive of how good the product in

in the case of an intake i would not be worried about the intake
but the area under the graph ...
