I was just wonderin if it is at all possible to do and engine swap from a 99' Civic cxi to another engine possibly a b18b?? i found an american civic site that displays engine codes and swaps etc but not sure if it would apply to the australian civics??? i don't particularly wanna do the swap but just intrigued to see if this is possible .... i'm also wondering whats the best turbo setup for a civic cxi??

i don't see anything wrong with the swap, anything can be done if you have $$

Anything is possible with enough money :)

Turbo setups? Why bother. For the cost of a turbo, you could sell your CXi and get a VTiR without destroying your insurance premium. Alternatively you could drop a B18C in from a VTiR 'teg.

the b18b swap is very feasible considering that it will be a OBDII swap

going into a OBDII vehicle*CXI*,,,price wise im not sure wot the prices

for a b18b complete swap are here in austrialia but guys in the states are

paying around 2500USD for a complete swap( axles, shift linkage, intake

mani, engine assy, etc etc)...from my research into engine swaps the

b18b is the buyers chioce for b series+boost for several reasons including

its lower compression ratio and lack of VTEC but the existing DOHC which

yields a perfect turbo combination to work with :) IMO if you want a

boosted honda find a b18b or even a b18a (from a 2G teg) and boost that

puppy and you'll eat n/a VTECs all day and a lot of other cars too...im

staying n/a 'cose i got VTEC *he he he*
