You can either go to the lights directly or to any other 'device' that is serviced by accessories (ie a good one I have heard people use is the clock).

That being said, if you still have trouble just take it to an autoelectrician - easy, quick job.

hey dude.
it's easy as.
power you can get from the ignition harness, and the light from the dimmer switch.

lol, use a test light.
if you don't know what your doin, then don't do it, it's too risky playing with ignitions wires if you don't know what your doin.

Agreed. An autoelectrician will only charge you maybe $50 if that.

Killa From Manila, the lights and power can be sourced from the under dash fuse box. In this image you can hopefully see the red and white wires going into the ports just above the top row of fuses.

Where the red wire is going in is for additional devices that require power only when the car is on run but not start, it is called Ignition2 (IGN2). That is where you want to connect your power cable.
Where the white wire is connected is for optional dashlight accessories, that is supplies power when the dash lights are on. This is where you want to connect the wire for the light in your tacho.
As an aside there should be a plug already in the very left port as this connects to the +ve battery terminal. I used female spade terminals to connect the wires, crimped and covered with heat shrink wrap.
