is it possible to hook up a powered antenna on an eg or atleast swap the ugly stock wire antenna for a short black plastic coated one (s2000 style but angled)? any good how-to's?

A powered antenna can be done, not sure about an S2K style. Powered antenna works simply by having the earth of the antenna constanly connected to earth, and a power wire running off your headunit :). If you're in Melbourne i'm sure I can assist you when I have some spare time :D

I'm guessing you can go to an Autobahn, Repco, Bursons etc in your state and get one for an EK and it would more than likely fit. Otherwise check if a DC2 model fits.

I dont know about which one fits etc, but thats the basic wiring of it all
