you really should tell your insurance company of everything u do to the car..

if you're in an accident, they'll try to find anything to not pay you out..

edit:
also depends on which pod filter/intake system you purchase..
whether it's legal or illegal..

afaik, no insurance company will insure you if your car is unroadworthy

^You got it Fluke!
If in doubt, contact your insurance provider as they will be able to give you information that is relevant to their policies.
Asking other ppl is all well and good, however is only a guide.
To be 100% sure, jst call them up and ask :)

ill be honest in saying a pod filter, nothing else will make little to no difference on power output. it will be purely for sound.
quite frankly i think it looks cheap having a pod on the end of stock piping and really like i said will make little to no difference

fact: an oil based pod filter exposed in the engine bay is illegal in vic!
so u have two options, well three.
1. get a paper based pod
2. create a shielding around ur pod
3. dont do it! just get a k&n pannel filter and replace ur stock air filter.

i would reccomend if anything getting a full CAI or Short ram intake.
please check THIS (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?p=700367#post700367) thread for further info on intakes.
if u decide on Short ram/ CAI i would reccomend notifying ur insurance company.
Who are u with?
Just cars rocks with mods and that kinda junk.

As Qball has mentioned, everything you need to know about your policy and what it does and doesnt cover can be found and confirmed by your inusrance company.

Call NRMA and find out!
