Hey guys,

My bulb in the EG just dies, so i was thinking of getting them blue ones of ebay for $6.

Anyways idk the correct power so that my cables dont melt (ive read of it happening before on this site)

The add says:
Universal Standard Input for any cars: 60/55W----> Output: 110/100W

I know our cars need a 60/55w, but the add has 110's and what not.
and i dont know what that means.

ok so what do i want it to say. Like i dont get what the ebay add is saying.
Is it 55/60 or 110/100?

more likely to be 110/100?
who knows. lol, show us the link..
even though i can view it now becuase i'm at work. lol.
really, i wouldn't trust el chepo bulbs, just buy normal ones, 90% of the time the normal yellow bulbs will give off more light than the blue/white bulbs
unless you get some high quality bulbs.

some bulbs say they convert 60/55W -> 110/100W
and some bulbs say they convert 60/55W -> 110/100W LOOK

i believe you should be after the "LOOK" one, as the bulbs that actually convert it to 110/100W may actually melt onto your harness, causing more trouble in the long run.

EDIT:
just a story..
my friend purchased a set from ebay for his lancer.. (PM me if you want the brand name)
the output was shit as. no light projected onto the road what so ever.. and after a few weeks/month the lights actually melted onto the harness.

it means that 55/60 is goin to be used, but the output light is gunna produce a 110/100 output ... i.e 110/100 might be a BMW etc. So when u install the bulbs its gunna be as bright as the BMW.

I stick to the trusty names, like Polarg, MTec, etc ...

As said above - stick with 60/55w. Get a set of these (http://www.narva.com.au/Globes_21.html), or these (http://www.lighting.philips.com.au/au/en/Portal?xml=catalogue/auto_range&content_id=182149), or these (http://www.lighting.philips.com.au/au/en/Portal?xml=catalogue/auto_range&content_id=153292), or these (http://undergroundimports.com.au/ecommerce/os/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=68_69&products_id=176)

Arctic blues aren't very blue... in fact they're more a very slightly white tinged yellow. They are legal however.

I was using Nissei PolarG's before... but found they blow quite frequently?

I'm also using the Narva Plus as my high beams - they work very well for high beam - but they're as yellow as your standard bulbs... very bright however

Guys,
my 2 cents, since I have been dealing with electrical components such as these, I suggest using the standard watts recommended as some of you have already mentioned it could potentially fry your wires, harness, fuses etc if you use higher watt bulbs. I know trust me.
It is okay to get something to make your ride look good but do suggest using standard/recommeded watts/voltage.

It is quite trivial if you think about it, if you "OD" the veins, you will run the risk.

Cheers :)

^ well how come then some wires get fried and some dont?
myn are perfectly fine..

destrukshn

wies may be fine..
but maybe you should check the plugs?
and pull em out, sometimses the bulb it self can't even handle it.
as sometimes, the pins that go into the plug, dislodge it self from the bulb when you pull the plug, becuase it was over heated etc.
