what kind of EG hatch do you have ? a breeze or a Si/gli ?
On a EFI EG civic The fuel filter is located in the engine bay , on the firewall behind the inlet manifold. Its black and has 2 pipes into it , either two ontop or one into the bottom and one into the top.

Fuel filters are simple too do .. prolly take u 15 mins to do.. just make sure u dont cross thread the bit that goes in the filter expecially if ur doin it at home lols.. dont want fuel leaking and spraying out.. woudl you lmaos.. anyways hope this helps..

Get a Haynes 92-95 Civic maintenance manual from an Auto shop such as Repco. It tells you precisely what you need to do, and includes safety precautions, correct torque adjustment etc... :)
