just called my dealer to book in for 10,000km service - asked abt the auto
trans oil and was told that it is only changed at 120,000km service :eek:

Can be changed at 60,000km to my knowledge if car is used in harsh conditions (i.e. stop & start , short trips)

Yeah tranny oil doesnt get dirty from combustion so it lasts much longer than engine oil.
60,000km-80,000km sounds about right :)

Ic... just gave me a shock as I used to drive a Proton Wira :D back in Malaysia.. it was an ancient mitsubishi 3-speedetr and the auto trans oil has to be changed every 20,000km

If you want to change it earlier, you can. You just have to pay them more money. But it is usually changed every 60,000km.

the service mechanic told me i have to change mine at 20,000km!! which modern car requires their ATF to be changed every 20,000km? I'm not bring my car back to them for servicing.

lol typical. I dont know why they try to rip us off like that, since we can easily refer to the user manual for servicing intervals :rolleyes:
