VTEC (Aggressive VTEC Cam profile) kicks in at ~6000rpm

VTC (Variable Timing Control) is variable and always active at all rpm's.

If I wasnt a mod I would say: "my vtec fell off".

As a mod I say: "Search is your friend. This has been covered many times."

As a helpful individual on the forums I say: "It is dependent on the car. Ie Vtec engagement in an accord is different to civic etc". I would then go on to say, "check out the following link as it is really helpful (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42803&highlight=vtec)".

Yes it does - at 6000rpm. It still kicks in but its not as aggressive as other VTEC engines.

The reason its called i-VTEC (with the extra "i" which means intelligent) is because these engines also have VTC.

Also is it difficult to replace the number plate lights on the euro?

4800/5000 rpm on an SiR CRX I know that.

You can always change it with a VTEC controller.

It does actually. VTEC doesn't make more power for you. It lets you have 2 different cam profiles you can switch between.

Various VTEC phrases that are used:
- VTEC kicks in.
- Engage high cam
- Switches cam lobes
- Starts to scream
- VTEC yo.

LMFAO!!!
i'm tempted to giv this one a qp

engage high cams... wtf? it may sound more knowledgeable but it also sounds formal, boring and 'old-fartish'! i can picture a bunch of pretentious prats standing around in their suits in the country club drinking port...

"...and there i was thinking to myself 'my golly old chap, i do believe your high cams have become engaged.' "
"hohoho! what a remarkable story noble sir."
"i'd like all in attendance to raise your glasses as i propose a toast to honour the switching of cam lobes"
"hear hear!!!"

The reason this is is due to your lack of research before posting. The last three questions/posts that you made are easily answered by SEARCHING before you post. For example (just a few posts I found on this forum alone - search time was less than 5 minutes):

if you dunno or can't hear your vtec kick in then you got issues, or it fell of LOL. There is a different noise depending on your car but its noticable enough on all hondas.

I'm sure if you wanted exact figures you would have searched.

Mate you've been answered so many times i think your ticking people off.

Yes its the new R Series engine (R18A1).

Its still got the "vtec kick" at mid-high RPM but its not as pronounced as say a B16A's VTEC kick. Plus its got iVTEC VTC (variable cam timing) like the Euro's K24A3
