cvt will have less rpm as it has a hidden 8th gear!

cool well i will certainly opt for the cvt cause i do alot of hwy driving thanx for the info......

with the 8th gear maybe he is talking about when the torque converter kicks in and rpms drop down......my CK accord does it making it appear there is 5 gears when there is only 4

CVT is a bit over 2,000rpm traveling at 100. Very dependent on any gradient and throttle movement.

CVT,s dont have a lock-up torque convertor. They adjust pulley sizes to bring engine speeds down so if u have a very steady foot on the highway the engine speed comes down like vividjazz said.
