Airbags as safty or Airbag suspension? never heard of safty ones...you want driver and passanger? it could be done depending on how much you want to spend...the passanger's one could be put into the top glove box.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I mean air bags as in protection, not suspension.

I realise this thread is a bit old, but on a bunch of forums I've seen people looking to put airbags in cars that came without. This is fine if, say, your car has airbags as an option, and you want to retro-fit them with a replacement steering wheel from the same model car. But NO WAY should you try to put in bags from any other model vehicle.

Think about it, airbags aren't one-size fits all, they're made custom to their car's cabin. They can do more harm than good when used improperly (i.e. Actually killing small children in the passenger front, since their heads are at an unexpected level) because of the force that they initially expand at.

Do not try to put in this 'safety feature' in a situation like this where you risk doing such harm to you and your friends.

Also, I don't even know how you would do it in a car without the appropriate sensors.

My mates Citroen C5 has standard hydroactive suspension. How did the French manage to get this into aus?

Does this mean i could say retrofit my car with the approved suspension out of a C5? (neglecting the physical technical difficulties)
