Hi Guys

i just bought a k20a2 motor and got CRV front brakes thrown in with it after some bargaining at no extra cost..
I am putting this into a EG civic..
My question is.. is there any disadvantage to using the CRV brakes compared to using the Type R brakes on the civic?
Would it be worth me selling the CRV and buying Type R brakes.. or maybe will the stock civic EG brakes do the job?

front brakes disc/caliper, the crv and type r are the same size with later model crv bigger
282mm size disc for both
300mm for newer models

Do you think it is worth getting the back ones as well?
i know it might be weird looking if there is 5 studs at the front and only 4 at the back.. but im limited on my money

If i should get back brakes as well.. am i better off getting the CRV like the front.. or go for the type r back brakes?:honda:

I would just mod the callipers and get some blank rotas and have them drilled 4 stud rather than trying to put the whole CRV assembly in the front of the car (is that even compatible  ).
Do not use the current CRV rotas if you’re drilling them to 4 stud it can be unsafe.

EDIT: Interesting info the DBA part number for front CRV brakes and ITR are the same
