Hi all,

I'm glad to announce that we've found a new host with an Australian based server meaning that things should be much smoother once we move over. To finish the move expect the site to be turned off for approximately 4 hours.

Outage Date: Thursday 20 July 2006
Time: 5:30pm AEST to 9:30pm AEST

The move shouldn't take too long given that some of the data is already transferred. The longest part will most probably be waiting for your ISP to update our DNS details.

That said nothing ever goes to plan so to account for this I'm going to factor in another few hours.

See you on the other side after Thursday!

Guys as you can see the site is back up now.

Depending on your ISP it might take awhile for your ISP to update DNS details. Give it a few days at most.

I will post some more info in a few days after we see how this server goes :)

I think a lot of people are still getting the page saying the site is shutdown as their ISPs are pointing to the old server. Hopefully by tomorrow most people will be seeing this site!

Other option is to edit your windows hosts file to resolve ozhonda.com to the new IP :)

hms I was getting alot of intermittent DNS errors yesterday. The forum would work fine for like an hour, then I would click a link or post a reply or something, and that DNS error would come up and stay that way for an hour, then go back to normal again. It seemed quite random. (I tried different proxies, cleared the cache, different browser etc...)

220.157.68.62 is the new IP Address yeah?

Try a CTRL F5 if you go back to the old site. Hopefully should sort it self out within the next few days :)

Change your hosts file back as the problem has been fixed now.

Seems something had gone wrong when updating DNS details with the domain name provider. I've re-added it and it should all be fine now guys!

sory dude still getting this

The Ozhonda Server change is complete as of Thursday 20 July 9:15pm AEST. If you are still seeing this message it means your ISP has not updated DNS details.

You can temporarily access the site by going to: http://ozhonda.sanitytech.net/forum/index.php

Note: There are some problems with our DNS details and we are looking into this.

But you just posted that ^ LOL

Tried CTRL F5?

You might have to wait till your ISP updates their DNS details (correctly this time!).
