just wondering how much im looking at to get my 91 civic a manual transmission...if its worth it or would it be better to sell and get a manual stock? jst got a new engine put in dont really want to sell after putting so much money into it but...any info would be great!

awww :( i dont think ur box will be strong enuf for me... but if u want a manual box from a d16y1, just lemi know :)

i did a manual to auto conversion in my old 88 ed GL

was fairly straight forward...only major things is cutting the hole in the firewall for the clutch cable, and bolting up the shift linkage.....

I wouldnt reccomend it, the price factor is too high when you can just buy a manual model and save a few grand.

broke, it cost me all up $550 for the parts needed.....i did all the labour myself....

If your able to do the labour yourself then it works out reasonable, but generally with any auto to manual conversion, its normally better to get a manual from the factory floor rather than doing it yourself.
