Like George has already alluded to above; we (Fhrx Studios) just run the Sound Quality Competitions in NSW.

dB Drag / SPL competitions are a totally separate competition.:)

Us SPLers build only to make pressure, screw being pretty n shit!! I don't know about there but you can use any tone you want, as long as it is commercially available, not made on a tone generator, and something else. You have to place the spl mic a certain distance off the window, 1" off the window, 12" in from the right A-pillar, and 4" off the dash if I am thinking right, been a while since I made a jig! But that’s here in the US!! For SQ you have to make it pretty to and sound great when played loud! I used to take points away for every drywall screw I could see. But read that URL for DBDrag, and then for SQ here we have ISACA and USAC. I haven’t done any for a while so there might be more. Don’t do too many competitions here where we are, the kids pissed everyone off so now no one holds them.
