This is a thread to post your comments about the Euro section trial, whether positive or otherwise.

Just a few quick comments to keep in mind:

We always prefer members search before starting a new thread.
If you find a similar thread - post your question in that thread - even if you resurrect something very old. That way the forum becomes an archive of useful (or sometimes not so useful :D ) information.
Please keep using the (Euro) tag when starting threads. We may have to move all the threads back to the main Accord forum if the trial does not succeed.
Enjoy, lets set an example for the rest of the Ozhonda community and avoid bickering. Lets also go out of our way to welcome new members.Important - when you search you may find the thread is still within the main Accord forum. Still add your post to that thread - a moderator will move the thread to the Euro sub forum as soon as possible. We will not be leaving redirects in the Accord main forum - if you can't find your thread check the Euro section.

This thread will become a sticky in a few days. People do not tend to read the stickies hence this thread is in the forum itself.

The Acura TSX related threads should be moved/started in the Euro section too, yeah?

Definately, anything CL9 (including TSX) as well as the CL7 Euro R.

Re the trial - I just had a quick scan of the threads moved across (just flick through the pages bottom of index screen) and it sure is nice. If I was new to a Euro or thinking about buying one reading these threads would be very helpful.

WOW... there are a lot more euro specific threads than i thought and definitely enough content and activity to support this sub forum IMO. Looking foward to how things pan out in the next couple of days.

I'm still sort of getting used to it, but it seems we already have a couple of new members posting and asking questions in the euro section so it's looking promising

Well when I first came to this forum a couple of weeks ago, I looked for the Euro section and found it a real pain to search through the Accord forum for Euro car posts. Fact is that they are different cars, I don't see any difference between the Civic having its own section and the Euro having its own section. I wouldn't even have it as a sub-section, but rather an entire section on its own.

it still is an accord though, i dont know if it warrants a whole seperate forum... that'd cause a lot of controversy haha

I personally like this, it's so much easier separating euro and non-euro posts. If I had it my way, I would keep this sub-forum

This is a good idea having the Euro model with its own sub forum. Now one can get quickly to any issue with the Euro.

Ok, I admit it I am confused. When I read other threads and they refer to various engine types or Accord models I get lost. How does one know the code or model number of the various years of Accords is there a list? I have a Euro Lux made in 2005 so what do I quote if I am referring to my car in a thread?

you can look at your chassis number, there should be CL9 in it. If not mistaken it starts with JHMCL9......
With engine number as well, it starts with K24A3.....

Ok guys - it has been over 1 month with the trial. Any more comments, speak now or forever hold your peace! Should it be permanent - yes or no.

Cheers

The Euro Sub Forum is a logical progression and with the numbers of Euro owners reading and responding it must be given a permanent place as a forum in its own right.

I vote for it to remain permanent. Has worked well for me so far: much quicker to find relevant info & less clutter too.

since the sub-forum was implimented I've noticed more euro members posting than ever before, and I've also noticed that the regular accord forum is attracting more posts than it was when combined with the euro. I think the accord guys felt suffocated by the number of euro threads.

so vote +1 for it to stay

I think its a great way to go. Since there are so many enthusiastic euro owners, its good to have a wealth of info in one place.

Should stay for sure.

Thanks for all the input guys. The trial was a success and we are sticking with the sub-forum on a permanent basis (or until further notice).

I have unstickied this thread so it will fall away into the usual threads.

How about moving some contents relevant to the Euro from the FAQ/Useful Threads in the accord forum to this forum? http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10844

Yes this will be done. Just not sure whether we should update this anymore - it seems to me that few people read the stickies including the FAQ.
