These ToYo T1R are amazing… (for its price) after these few weeks of rain in Sydney got to tested a few times and they grip so dame good… I use to be a Yokohama fan … I think it can top with the ADVAN range with ½ the cost….

They where the best I ever had… (on Jazz) !!!

I had Pirelli P5000's in '01 and they were the best I've had. When they wore out I got the P6000's (as 5000 not made any more) and they weren't as good + wore out heaps quicker.

why is there a new thread when there is a tyre recommendation thread? st tyres fm901's the best I've had....semis - only tried A032R's but they are great.

Because this is best tyre you've ever had. Some of the posts will be about tyres that aren't available anymore (like mine about P5000's)

Yokahama DNA GP, great street tyre. Grips well in the dry and decent in the wet. But nothing compared to Falken RT215.

ive had Toyo r888's for daily street use.. very good tryes.. but they dont last long on normal road usage.

other than that they gripped so well i could drive like im on wakefield in a school zone and have absolute 100% grip.

Price is really irrelevant here. It completely changes depending on the size, width etc. Please just focus on 'what is the best tyre'.

why is there a new thread when there is a tyre recommendation thread?

Slightly different idea :).

I ran a set of fm901's before they were replaced and they were an exceptional tyre. Currently on a set of Yoko's that arnt to bad, but the fm901's were much better.

Sorry, I meant the "Treadwear" rating that is printed on the sidewall of the tyre. I know tyre wear is more dependant on driving style than on a rating, but it would be a nice estimate.

For the Civic:
Dunlop Formula (better than Bridgestone Potenza GIII, Dunlop lemans)

For the Euro:
Yoko C-Drive (better than the stock Dunlop SP 2050)

Where did you get these? I went looking and every Hankook dealer just looked at me stupid. A few rung the wholealer and said they weren't in Oz yet.

Don't take offence to this but i've heard you're pretty much payin 4 a name wit azenis!

I'm rollin on Maxxis Victra at the moment, only grabbed em, coz my mechanic recommended them, he uses them for his torrie race car. not my forte, but i thought i'd trust him and give them a burl.

Turns out they're pretty good, plus the widest tyres i can get under my guards are 195's, so the sport and semi-slick option is very limited.

I've also heard toyo r888's are mad, but 270 bucks a corner for my offset (195, 55, 15) is a fair bit, when they're only supposed to last bout 10000 k's!!

I had a set of Dunlop Sp200 on my car before i got these ones. Found them to be shyte as Shyte. Would spinn like all hell break loose on take off's. Dont even get me started in the wet.

Went to bridgestone, Turnza ER-50, touring type tyres. Good Tyers in wet and dry untill they run out of tread then they become as shyte as Dunlops. Then again wat tyres dont do that.

Next line up was Potenza GIII. So far grips like anything smooth but not the quietest tyre. Wheel Spin is minimal. In the wet is pretty good, probly not as good as the ER-50's. But thats my wrap. Potenza GIII is my best tyre soo far.

Advan A048 I think they were call, just road tyres, but they were really sticky like FM901 but they dont make them anymore, quiet tyres too.
Cant drive semi on the streets, all the rocks and stone just sticks onto the tyres.

Using G3 right now, they are ok

I originally had falken zeix on my 200 and the car was stock, zeix were totally useless in the rain, wheel spins even in the second when I am giving it…azenis just gripped so well that I had to test it out in the dry and wet.

Yes they do wear out too fast that’s why I don’t’ use it no more…

i had the goodyear gs-d3 in 225/40/18 before, and i didnt really like it that much.

i now have yokohama advan sport, and it really has changed the handling characteristics dramatically. These tyres have a lot of grip, and are much quieter than the goodyears.
