DC2R Engine noise????

Can any 1 help me out
I just bought a dc2r 99 and when i give it at about 3000rmp it starts to make a whisle noise of some sort. Should it happen????

hmm..shouldn't have a whistling noise. Might be your timing belt. Go get it checked out.

U sure there aint a turbo spooling uder the bonnet. :D That's what the whistling sound could be..kekekeke... :P

Yeh i get that noise as well and its got a k&n replacement. in it. I didn't know what the sound was either so now i know :)

Errr, dunno about a whistle noise but it will definitely make a noise sucking noise. I had one on my DC2. :D

I know about 3-4 DC2Rs that make that noise. Even when i changed my B16A throttle body with the ITR one, it made that noise. So i think its normal.

It only happens at part throttle
