Just like to ask Euro owners here a favour. If you have a Euro with the old 16" rims (03-05' std, 03-04' lux), can you check how many coils there are in your front and rear springs?? Just a rough amount would be ok.
The reason for this is that I've put the OEM springs back on recently and I'm not sure if the mechanics had put the front and rear springs the right way. It seems right (had a check with a random Euro in the carpark :p) but my front seems to be a tad higher than my rear. Judging from my old pics this was correct, but still, I want to be safe than sorry. Thanks.
did u have the shocks off the car for a while as well??
coz if the shocks has been off... it ll sit high for a while... if thats the case dw.. they ll go lower later on

The front springs will be wider than the rears so you can verify by checking the overall width of the springs..
The spring probably decompressed itself over time without load... give it some time and see if it sits lower..

Haven't changed shocks, just the springs and it's been on for around a week.
Just checked before. The front spings are thicker in diameter, and there's more coils than the rear. Rear spings are thinner and less coils, but more spread apart. Couldn't really tell of the overall width of the springs.
Can anyone confirm this?

What do you mean by bottom coils is bigger/smaller??
Any more confirmations?

I think he meant the spring distance. I believe the oem springs are progressive, meaning one end has tighter springs and the other end has looser springs (I don't think that is the right word though LOL)

the front ones should usually have thicker coils over the rears.

Thanks for the pics raz05. I noticed the yellow and pink dots on the rear springs so yeah, I do have them I right way around.
Btw, what do you have in your suspension now?

That is what I thought too until I took my sussy off - the oem are not progressive (well at least for the 04 model - not sure about 05 lux onwards)
