Hey everyone,
My gf has a '92 Prelude Si & we took her car 2 a mechanic bcoz she was complaining of her friction point felt higher up the clutch pedal.
Mechanic said the clutch mite be wearing out.

He said the Flywheel needs machining and spigot bearing changed, as well as the main seal replaced..

How much should we be looking at price-wise??
Is this the correct procedure or is there more things needed to be replaced / done?

CHEERSSSS IN ADVANCE!!!

"spigot" WTF is that? You mean throw out bearing or flywheel bearing? Either way a good kit comes with both. A stock kit ranges from $150USD to $250USD and more for an aftermarket performance kit from ACT, Exedy or other. A seal isn't more than $25USD and it's just a press in. Takes longer to pull the plate then change the seal!! I would charge about $350USD in labor for the whole deal. Then flywheel machining, fluids, and other parts would be more. So like at best at best $600USD to $750USD for it all. But that's here in the US not down there.

spigot bearing is the same as a thoughout bearing

depending on where u go changing clutch will range from $500 - 1000 depending on where u go and the labour rate...
