urgent!

Hi Guys, I have a EK CXI and when i got her she had already been fitted with a set of Unorthodox racing underdrive pulleys on the alterator, air con, and power steering, my question is could they be to blame for the rough idle and rooted bearings in the AC pump? It also has a 3inch induction pipe of unknown origin.

can anyone help

Dont know exactly what type of pulley and belt your talking a bout BUT in any belt is done up too tight you will risk damage to the Crankshaft and what ever is at the other end. you should be able to twist the belt about 70 degrees max. thats about 15 to 20mm movement when pushing down. a rock solid tight belt will damage stuff. If the diamiter of your altenator pully is larger than stock it may put more load on the engine But I dont see it causing rough idle. Hope your crank is ok. is the crank pully wablly?
