Hi All,

I just want to ask if anyone replaced their stock cam gear with after market one (eg: skunk2 d series cam gear).. If so maybe you could tell me the benefits or just a waste of $$..

I haven't, but I don't think that it'd make any difference unless you got the matching cams, and an aftermarket ECU and some decent tuning.

Waste of time unless you planning to upgrade the whole head (cams, valve springs, Retainers etc etc) for Na or Turbo.

does little or nothing on a stock car. Point of a adjustable camgear/s , is to dial in exact aftermarket camshaft/s degrees for proper tuning etc -

as I said in the other threads... some books claim that a stock engine with cam gear(s) can gain 5-10HP. Generally when buying gears youd already know that you're getting cams later on down the track OR got cams and gears are just added to make the tune that much better.

You don't have to go all out on a full engine build just to get cam gear benefits. of course stuff works together to make HP but a simple small reground cam and gear can still make HP without even an ECU change or a piggy back and not even a touch of head work. But it all has to be calculated well.

Ive heard that too... I think Trav actually has a setup like that on his EG. Its not an easy fit so I wouldn't bother. You CAN get ZC cam gears from the US.
