i've got xforce 4-2-1 headers with a full xforce cat back system as well for my civic vtir coupe. the whole lot is stainless steel and mendrel bent.
the top end power has greatly improved. i got it all done for $2000.
it gives almost the same amount of power as the top jap bands do (eg. apexi, blitz) but half the price.
it is well worth it.

Very good, have it installed on my crx and have no complaints.
Sounds sweet too...
Personally, I wouldnt bother with the slight kw advantage for spoon headers... the cost per kw after xforce is a waste

I got xforce 4-1 on my ITR, I'm happy with them, spoon would be better but money difference is BIG

Every mod compliments the next. If you dont want to limit your future mods, dont cut corners and get budget headers.

Just buy the dam thing and try it for yourself. I doubt most of the guys giving you advice have any idea the difference between budget and good headers.

^^^
listen to him. i have a mate who spent a lil over 2k for nothing but headers, i have another mate who wont spend more than 300 on em. honestly a well engineered header does wonders to a tuned honda but it depends of course on what ur plans are

^^^ agreed, when researching the headres for the cams im installing (stage 2 crowers) i had to think baout what design i wanted and whats best value, and i ended up getting edelbrock design 4-2-1's, think wisely about them coz its cheaper to spend 800 on one set, than to have to buy 800 opne then a 1200 one coz u didnt like the 800 one!

I heard haft good comments and half bad comments about xforce header. But i didn't heard any bad comments about JDM header. It is your choice.
Below are the price range:
$400-$600 (xforce, non-brand name..etc)
$600-$800 (JDM 5zigen header)
$1200-$1400 (JDM Mugen, Maxi-work, Toda...etc)
$1400-$1600 (SMSP)

i got my x-force headers and system in full stainless steel with magnaflow cat all2.5 inch fitted for $1500 on my 01 dc2r, i only got this brand coz of the guarantee that it is fully epa legal with the silencer and its gates open, so its still loud, but just 2 db's under the limit, if you take out the silencer, it creeps over by about 1.5 to 2 db's they have toldme, it has given me heaps of power up top, the only down fall with 4 into 1 is it is a little slugish straight off the mark, u loose a little down low, but gain heaps in top end and it sound angry ion vtec ....
happy hunting for your exhaust.

yeah the workshop down the road from my house makes headers. they specialise in commodores, and they go heaps fast. He reckons he can make a custom set for $500 that would be full sick.

i had a full xforce system from headers to cannon...
the catback sounded really good after carbonised(if thats the word)
then installed 4-1 headers but didnt like the sound one bit. abit like a WRX with some hissing noise (which suppose to be the sound of stainless steal).
power wise... nice increase in topend
The WRX or lumpy sound is from uneven length headers, no?
Sounds cool but tuned length headers shouldn't do that.
