Im currently looking at picking up some rims.
the specs for the new rims are -

17x7.0
offset 45mm
multistud - 5x114.3

i have original 15" rims on my civic.
i know the multistud is 5x114.3 and the offset is 48+ i think
15 x 6j
tyre size 195/65 r15 91H

can anyone tell me if these rims will fit the car? and yes i have used the search function.

Yes, you may find a harsher ride though. Also I recommend that you get the tyres size in the same ratio for the new width to your stock ones so that it doesn't put your speedo out.

Usually as you get a larger size rim, your going to run on lower profile tyres. For example my car the standard size is: 195/55/15

I've got 17s, so I'm running 205/40/17 the tyre profile is now 40 instead of 55. Basically the tyres are thinner than your original ones, and most people experience a slightly harsher ride....

I'm just trying to look for a tyre calculator.

Found one. http://www.dsm.org/tools/tiresize.htm

Just type in your size (from factory) and it will give you the options that you should stick to, in order to keep your speedo the same.
