Check out the sticky in the suspension/handling part of the forum. Very useful information there.

not 100 % sure if the gsi is the same thickness as the vtir but vtir rear is 14 mm. I'm getting an ITR rear sway put on hopefully in the next few weeks. It's 22 mm. The whiteline one you can get is 22 mm. Expect to pay about 220 - 240 ish for the whiteline one. Go to www.whiteline.com.au (http://www.whiteline.com.au) and download their catologue with the part numbers. They also have an online store so you can purchase through them directly. P.S You can get the whiteline type R replacement 24 mm one - tinkerbell on the forums has fitted to his VTIR.

and yes it is beneficial for handling of the car.

A lot of members use the whiteline rear sway, do a search, and you will probably find some of their opinions.

thanks a lot for that man. so can i fit vtir ones and type r ones onto a gsi? and how about the 24mm ones are they too big and need reinforcement or will it be fine?

no worries. It's chickybabe btw. The whiteline part for the gsi and vtir is the same. Part number BHR36XZ is the 22m blade adjustable. Whiteline usually provide you with the bracket kit, so it shouldn't need reinforcing, but you can PM tinkerbell if you are curious about the 24mm type R one. As I'm putting an OEM ITR (from type R not whitline) one on mine soon and the stock brackets don't line up with the VTIR one, I will probably have to do some re-inforcing so I don't get subframe tear out. :)

Why would you upgrade to an ITR Rear Swaybar from a VTIR when clearly the Whiteline is better? Unless of course you're getting it for free..

ITR = integra type R not VTIR. VTIR comes standard 14 mm, and ITR (integra Type R) comes standard 22mm. Why would the whiteline one be clearly better than an ITR one? If your not sure what your talking about, its best not to assume one is better than the other unless you have experienced yourself.

i thought you would need to change the rear LCA to run the rear ITR sway bar?

Fly I'm already running JDM LCA's but from what I've read I don't think you need JDM LCAs. I'm investigating options on how I want to get it installed atm anyway.

Errr, lol? Of course ITR is Type R, read what I wrote again, or better yet, take english lessons than read it again.

The Whiteline swaybar is an upgrade from OEM ITR rear swaybar, which both the VTIR and ITR upgrade to. And no LCA isnt needed. Rear tie bar is. LCA only needed on VTIR thats getting coilovers.

And I dont work for Whiteline, so I'm not going to bother typing why the Whiteline one is better than OEM cos I couldnt 2 shits if he or anyone else ugprades to a correct swaybar.

ITR and EG/DC LCA's share the same mount points and dimensions ~ so you can use either. The rear LCA is defined by what rear suspension you use for your EG/DC :)

I've got a full whiteline set up in my civic. the sways do magic compared with the factory ones, for a FWD i'd do the front also.

The only criticisim i have is that the instructions are rubbish, (i got one black and white generic photo with mine, not to mention the only way i knew which way up it went was the sticker on the bar!!)... but if you get it done professionally (oops) it's all cool!

what you wrote didn't make sense.

Perhaps if you read the original post you will realise that as he has a GSI he has two options of whiteline rear sways:

22mm whiteline rear sway which is the normal replacement for DC2 gsi/vtir
24mm whiteline rear sway which is the replacement for OEM ITR

You've already typed that you reckon the whiteline one is better than ITR oem so don't know why your bothering.

BTW the ITR and dc/eg have slightly different mounting points on the subframe...so they arent directly compatible.
You need a beaks kit or similar to fit a ITR bar to a DC/EG -

;) Yes Ben, already aware of the above. Instructions are available on the integramod site.

Whiteline sway bar is pretty good!!!
I think they designed sway bar for integra(Only aussie delivered integra)...
As JDM sway bar wont fit aussie integra.

For more information pls go to www.whiteline.com.au

Hope this helps you ...
