hello people,
This thread is for anybody whos had or has a h22a in their ride
i just got my h22a in my accord done recently. and i usually pour
CALTEX VORTEX.
recently ive done some experimenting with the petrol. i poured shell optimax, and i realised that the car doesnt push as hard as when i had caltex in it. The same goes to BP ULTIMATE

i also poured MOBIL the other night and it ran alot better than BP and SHELL.
im not sure which is better for my car MOBIL or CALTEX
which is best?
what do YOU guys think??

Is your h22a jdm?
If you are using Caltex Vortex, then you should use Vortex98, which is only available in NSW. Otherwise, stick to Ultimate, Mobil 8000 or Optimax. As long as it is 98 octane.

yeh i only use 98 octane coz its jdm.
but what im sayin is that, MOBIL premium and CALTEX VORTEX runs better than shell and bp.
seems like my car runs alot better and pushes harder when i pour caltex and mobil.

Ive been told by many tuners, that from previous tests, mobil seems to come on top a fair bit.

Ive tried the 100 RON fuel from Shell ,but that was crap, didnt feel different.

Even for my JDM B18C+ECU

I found that Shell optimax varied too much week to week and sometimes the engine ran rougher with it. I prefer Vortex98 or Mobil 8000 as well. I don't use BP since there is not much diff over vortex98.

If your engine is tuned for 95 octane, then 95 will feel more peppy than 98 if your ecu can't advance the timing on the fly.

ive tried them all and prefer synergy 8000 but i always tend to use optimax as i cant get the mobile stuff in wagga.

Correction - Vortex 98 is now also available all over Melbourne at selected Caltex petrol stations too!

NOS is a brand name. It's called nitrous oxide.

If you call it NOS, it's like saying my car runs on Woolies. Haha.

lol maybe, if woolies, was a brand name for nitrous oxide.

P.S NOS aswell as being a brand name for nitrous oxide, is slang for using nitrous oxide.

In this use it is known as nitrous, or NOS after a well-known brand which has become a genericized trademark

My father-in-law told me he fills up his Honda at the local Matilda servo. Wonder if this stuff would be crap or the same quality as the big guns like BP, Shell, etc?!

i usually use 8000 or ultimate, both of which are very good

apparently vortex 98 is the best tho :S makes the most power, and also engine runs very smooth also. I would be using it if there was some caltex around my area! .. :(

My B-series likes Ultimate, not sure which fuel makes more power (is the difference even noticeable?) but I get the most KM's out of a full tank of Ultimate, and I guess that's what's important to me.
