i dont see how will displaying the points be in any use to the publics, maybe to the admins - yes. As it may be causing issues sooner or later just like "why am i still a newcomer" issue we had awhile ago.

there will be chance (not necessary will) for ppl to brag about "why so-and-so has more points than me? he/she is not knowledgeable than me!" etc. someone wth lesser points than the other doesnt necessary mean that he/she is less knowledgeable, it may just b tat he/she isnt contributing as much - or for many other reason. i say NO to anything tat has room for needless potential arguments.

We noticed users starting to abuse it so decided to hide the points. It's not really a contest so yeah :)
