View Full Version : help, aftermarket head unit died after battery change

today i went to change a new battery , then after that i could not use my mp3 player any more, it is like that nothing happend after press the on button, anyone can help me, cheers

Did you check whether any of the wires came lose from the battery terminal? I have one wire that goes into the battery terminal - its connected to the fuse for my amp. This may have come loose when you changed the battery.

yeah but, there shouldn't be any wires connect to the battery from the head unit well deriectly to the battery that is.

now, you can check 2 fuses that relate to the head unit, the underdash fuse, you may have blown that one, or the one behind the head unit.
check both fuses before you go any further.

thanks for the reply , but how can i blow the fuses? I turned off the unit before the battery got changed , don't really understand how that happend.

yeah, check the underdash one first.
then, if that is working, check the one behind the head unit
