In the service manual - it recommends you service your vehicle every 6 months or 10000km, whichever comes first.
Now, for some people who don't drive 10000km in 6 months, would you still service your car or only when you have hit the 10000km mark? This does not include 5000km oil changes.

General rule of thumb is to have the car serviced every 10000 or 6months, which ever comes first.
Its not good to keep the same liquids in the car for long periods of time.
That goes for all cars, not jst the Euros.
i do it every 5000km anyway ...

every 5000kms for service? or just fluid change nick la?
cuz i read somewhere 5000kms isnt entirely necessary unless u track ur car a bit and shit......
10,000kms should be adequate. of course if u can do 5000kms per service even better i suppose.

when it comes to oils (tranny/engine) you can never change them often enough. probably overkill changing them every few thousand but youll know your engine is getting pampered

there u go
lol when i said "a bit" i meant like once a month or twice a month or something
but yeah, regular fluid changes will indeed sustain the life of ur engine and keep it in good nick for longer
yea but i would like to change engine oil as often as i can ... it doesnt hurt to have freash oil in there la....
i rather being safe tehn sorry thats all

If I did track once a month, I change oil 12 times a year. Serious.

Service the Euro every 6 months cos I can never do 10,000km during that time. I was away for 3 months end of last year and then finally went for a service 2 months after I got back (was around a few months overdue). Even though I only racked up around 5,000km's or so since the last service, you can easily feel the car was running really slugish after all that time. A change of oil and the Euro was running like new.

I've done 40,000kms in 15 months... around 2700km a month which is quite alot. I service it every 5000km's to keep it running well.
I couldn't change the oil in my old '89 Legend often enough as the oil would almost turn to sludge by like 7000-8000kms! :o

i was shocked to read in the manual that a oil filter change is performed every 20k. yeah for $20 ill take peice of mind thanks and do it anyway :P
my s15 got fluid and filter every 5k, ran like a dream. i always used a nulon engine oil cleaner with the change too. i think ill stick to that for the euro.

Since 2006 job change, I clocked 10000km in 3 months. so from now on, I need to report to Honda service department every 3 months.

Yeah, my dealer recommends that the filter be changed with each oil change. It's a $11.90 price on the filter, but it's included in the overall service price.
