the old girl is starting too smell real rich sometimes, espescially when sitting and idling,if it was a falcon id finger the o2 sensor as the problem...wot could the problem be with the accord?

um u cant go off the smell at idle for it running rich, infact id nearly put money on it being perfect mixture at idle.
the fuel we get in australia has a high sulfur content and it stinks wen u flog it and it stinks wen its idling, so more then likely thats ur problem.
how many ltrs per 100kms are u getting?
mines about 450kms-60ltrs which is about right for the driving style and the size of the motor.
the onli way u can tell if its running rich is if it blows black smoke or if u plug in the computer thingo and it says there that it runs rich.

Try running Caltex's VORTEX 98...it's made my car run much more smoother...try it and you'll see! Plus... it doesn't smell as rich...maybe just my imagination...but worth a go?

have u tried to extract any CEL codes?

for 50 bucks u can get some power runs on a dyno.
get them to attach a wideband o2 to see u mixture at idle, part and full throttles.
