SiR B18c convertion

Im in perth aswell dude, with a b18c in my EG Civic, JDM JDM JDM :). I put down 107whp on dynodynamics dyno and did a quarter mile in 15.56@89mph. Thinking of selling my whole car and buying a D16 and bolting a turbo on it, I was at the drags one night and a blue EK did around 12.2, 4 times, Thats when I thought fk the b18c.
dude, i wouldnt say fck the B18C based on your 1/4 times cos they are very average for a B18C in an EG. not only that your Hp figure is very low and your mph is also very average. if i were you i'd get your engine looked at cos its under performing considerably.
in some cases the time could be put down driver but the MPH is saying its the engine.
most B18C EG's i've seen do mid to high 14's with stock engine.

btw 15.56 is a very slow time for a b18 in eg...unless it had heaps and heaps of audio and rice on it...havent dragged mine but from what i have seen people have run b/w 13.8 (worked) to 14.5 (stockish)

Panel filter?? they come with conical filters in the box...
Any ways ill just have a SRI with K&N pod, maybe a Skunk2 intake manifold not sure yet i might get it fitted same time turbo goes in..
What gear box are u using??? its only 4mph more than my GSi i would think just the weight difference even if they had same power would give more mph.

Any ways ive learnt one mayor lesson from modding my GSi... no point buying this and buying that because if one of the parts doesnt work well with the others you wont be gaining anything and in some cases go back wards, not that my GSi is nearly back to stock (only mod is 2.5' exhaust) it feels just as quik as before.
So my only mods for this motor will be skunk2 intake and ITR or CTR cams then turbo.
Then il look at changing the exhaust once it starts to out flow it.

havent lost to a teg or prelude (vti-r's) excpet for the turbo ones.

no dyno's or 1/4mile times yet

nah it doesnt, its quiet. u might have a vacumm leak.

b18c7 EGs usually get a mid to low 14 in stock form, and easliy get into the 13sec bracket with a few mods like clutch, flywheel, full exhaust and intake... and the right weight reduction...

i run 14.4 with a b16 (I/H/E) in a heavier EK, then snapped my CV. Would have done better if i had a couple of runs instead of just 2. There's too many varibles with it comes to the strip. Very hard to say, only one way to find out though, take your car out and try for yourself.

you've mistaken though, CTR box has the same ratio's as normal B16 gearboxes. Only advantage is LSD. Anyways good luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes.

Thats true, anyone can put a turbo on, but then again, I don't call 14's quick. Most stock performance cars do 13's these days.

Something wrong with that motor, they usually pull out 115-120 hp atw.
