Phantom Unread PM

Hey. Something interesting happened last night.

The little box up in the top right says I have 1 unread pm out of total 13. So I click the private messages and I don't have any new ones and there are only a total of 11 messages.

If I do receive a new one it works still. Says 2 unread go there and there is only 1.

I had similar...

Was waiting on a PM,& got the popup about 8.30pm or round about then from the person but when I clicked on to read,there was no message.But no unread message is indicated.

The same person did PM about 11pm & he spoke as if he hadnt sent an earlier message at all?? So I ignored the prob.

Something to do with when the server went ghey last night I presume???

same here. I recieved a pm today ( little box popped up) and then i clicked on it , and it disappeared. Also a post in thw WTB section (relevant to the PM) jsut disappeared.

Still saying 1 unread post for me. But it's not there.

Gets me all excited every time I log on. :P

And this is on the top right under your username yeah?

I take it you have already gone through your list to confirm there aren't any unread PMs in there?

Because it just stopped doing it. I did delete 2 messages I had sitting in my sent pm's box. But they have been there for ages. Long before this started happening.

Anyway. it's gone.

Like I said i only got a popup with no message behind it,thats all,the person PMed later on as if everything normal.

that happened to me ages ago, the unread pm thingy disapeared after i deleted one of the older messages in my inbox...

Seems that unread status is/was attached to that PM only.

Yeah my unread messages is like that too, I deleted a couple but it still remains unchanged, I don't want to delete all my messages though.
If anyone knows how to fix this problem or find the message that is playing up then please share your wisdom:D

i just got 2 emails saying i have pm's, but i have no pms in my inbox....

i cant see the other 2.....

Check the other folders in your Private Messages

now i deleted some old ones, it says no unread messages.....but i should have 2 new ones

sometimes all my PM's get deleted. like NONE IN THE BOX at all. :(

No problems here. Someone might be deleteing them :)
