theres a small 'tube' that connects to the engine..
same with ur stock piping..

how come some kits don't have that hole?

its the oil breather (i think lol pretty sure someone correct me) most kits have them ...

it think its an air sensor.....

its not a air sensor.
Air flow sensors are not connected to the engine head !!
Some cars have air sensors like nissan & toyota. Thats why u dont see intake kits the Toyota Celica. Cos you have to get it custom made for the air sensor to fit etc.

well. wateva the purpose of that whole is..

just find an aftermarket piping with the whole so u can connect the tube to the engine head the same way as the stock intake.

well i know in teh EG5 the single hose that goes from teh hole on the pipe goes into the cam cover. Oil vapours get sucked into your air intake and burnt. Its designed so that it doesnt allow oil vapour into the atmosphere. Ive seen some cars dont idle well if you remove the hose.

lol EKs and EGs have the same engine.
Heres a pic of a J Racing Intake for EG/EK/EM:

ek/em etc has 2 'holes' one for rocker cover oil breather and one for the sensor.

egs have only one hole, for the breather.

u can pretty much fit anything to anything, just depends on how much u want to fiddle with it. just cable tie it on coz remember thats how it came from honda.

so buy the em1 intake, block of the sensor hole and then enjoy a decrease in performace and an increase in noise.

just install a K&N high flow panel into your OEM airbox.

cause u'd be sucking up all the hot air in and around the engine..
