Just wondering guys... I've taken a look at mine and they look the same. I dunno if the calipers are any different though.

. . . . based upon what info ? A picture you saw ? An actual comparison ? Well , to the best of my knowledge EG6 brake rotors are a small amount larger in diameter than EG5 brakes. I *think* the same size as say , ek4 brakes.

Calipers will be different , as for larger pads for larger rotors.

actual comparison... but My wheel is still on my car... so I can measure it properly but if theres a differenec your talking 5-10mm MAX... calipers apear the same dimentions as well I'll take a better look when I get my wheel off.

EG6 calipers and discs are exactly the same as EK4 brakes/calipers. Therefore they would be a little bit bigger. Nick just change em man, rather have the better brakes than something a little less I reckon..

JDM EG6 SiR & SiRII brakes are 11.2" (approx)
AUDM EG5 Si & Vti brakes are approx 9.8" (approx)
The JDM pad is bigger, not so much the caliper...
Rears are identical...
Cheers

I'm talking about the JDM EG-5... and thanks Toda AU... to answer my own question... They are the same (my EG-5 discs being 280ishmm or 11.2ish inches). That or the previous owner of my car upgraded them (doubtful).

You will find that

EG (All AUSDM except EG CRX) 9.4" (240mm)
EG6 10.3" (262mm)
DC2 ITR 11.1" (282mm)

I can confirm this as absolute as I have tried and compared each brake setup. The EG 6 seem only a bit different and are the same thickness (21mm) but give a good result. The ITRs are 23mm thick.

EG6 disks and callipers do not fit on AusDM hubs, the spacing is incorrect. Also the hubs are physically smaller. You must swap the whole hub assembly, and if the rotors are pretty rusty it is a good time to replace the wheel bearings.

I think some of the late AUS vti and Si civics had the bigger front brakes, as my 95 vti did. However some people argue black and blue that they only had the 240mm rotors.

If you seriously have 280mm rotors on you car then they would have to have the PCD redrilled and the calliper spaced.

My bad... they are 262 and 21mm thick. On both the EG-5 and EG-6... although the EG-6 calipers have a different code on them.
