i got 19s on mine. don't go with 19s if your really fussy and you have to mod a few things aswell.

i asked the same questions at the PA forum. Was really helpful. have a read.

i recently got 18's the're quite big i think anyway. Also they rubbed a little bit and it hasn't been lowered yet so if u go 19's u need to be very strict about the offsets as otherwise they will rub too much

17's are the easiest to fit but i wanted 18's so ... if you think it's worth the effort go 19's but i wouldn't

the lowest offest you can go is 45. anything after that, you have to pump your guards which is expensive. you need to look for a 19x7.5 rim with min. offest of 45. and get 215/35 tyres.

i was thinking of getting 20's on my car before cos' the price range is not big difference... but it seems to be impossible now... anyway how low you can go by 19s? i know it's ilegal but 18s seems a bit too small for me... cos i also want bit of show look...

i still got stock suspension though... so what would i need to mod to use 19x7.5? i'm a noob here... pls help...

-thanks-

Legally u can go upto 18's, simple as that when discussing legality issues.

19s will have issues with rubbing, but ur best bet is to get 19x7.5 (but will still prob scrub).

Offset- look for as near to 55 as u can (i think).

19's on a lude is for looks. Be aware, if ur looking for speed out of your car, dont go for 19's. If your going for looks, 19's is an option.

If you get 19's, u will most probably have issues with scrubbing, so you better be able to afford new tyres every few months. You will also have issues with cops & defects, so be prepared to pay for the defect if/when u get it. Cant argue with the law, max you can go above stock is 2 inches and stock for bb6 lude is 16 (assuming you have VTIR)

You should check out the forums on PA.

However i warn you that you may get flamed for it.

If your set on your mission to have 19 x 8 then expect the following.....

You will need to have your guards rolled at the very least. Probably need to pump you guards or get some sort of wide bodykit coz the wheels will stick out further than the body panels.
You will proabaly need to make modifications to the suspension setup so you can actually get the wheel into the guard.
And everytime u turn the steering wheel expect them to scrub like a bitch.
Oh, and you wont be able to lower it coz they will be struggling to fit as it is.

An old member on PA named BlueLude86 (im pretty sure thats the right name) had 19's on his Lude. When someone else was flamed about wanting 19's on a prelude he provided them with some useful information as he has been there and done that.

Do a search on PA, see if you can find him, then hit him up with a PM.
