I mate, I do not own a prelude however... from an Accord's point of view and that of most Honda's...when the low fuel warning light pops up, you should have around another 2-5 Km's left so I wouldn't panic just yet!

2-5kms?..wen the light comes on it means u have around 10 litres left in the tank
read ur manual next time before throwing a guess in the air!
its not just for hondas, its for MOST cars

I usually get at least 50+ kms once the light comes on and then start panicing to fill up
Ye kiss ive filled up on 54L'ish so I think I had either 1L or 6L..not sure but im pretty sure the 5th gen is 55L tank, cant remember

this sounds pretty close, i hav a 4th gen VTiR and get another 50k's after the first warning light comes on, the most ive poured into it is also 54L, but its usually around 52L, dont be scared to go into the 10L range.

i'd be panicking if i only had 2-5km's left in the tank..

reserve tank is usually ~10L..
so however many km's u get from 10L, is how far you'll get..

although it's not recommended to drive it until drip dry

Haha, 2-5litres.....thats not even enough warning to make it a petrol station.

The 5th Gen has a 60 litre tank....unsure of other preludes.

And they have a 10-15litre reserve (after light comes on)

So driving for say 50kms on the light is fine.....just dont push it too much further.

Most i've ever filled up is 54L.

Next time, as soon as your fuel warning light comes on, stop at a station and fill your car til the nozzle stops on its own. Then you'll know how much is left when the light comes on.

the light will come on usually when there is about 10L left if you are driving on flat even road this may vary.

Depending on how hard you drive, this could last 30km's or about 100kms.

Great tip, if you know how much your tank holds..

i.e. If your light flashes then you fill until full and it stops at 20L. This means that there is 10L in the tank from when the light comes on.
