Hey all,

Im building an offroad buggy with an 1UZ 4Ltr Lexus V8... and they've just set the rules for our divison at 3.5Ltr normally asp.... oops...

So - Honda V6's, can somebody answer the follwoing:

What were they in?
Are there different types? If so what are the base differences?
Where can I get one in Aus, preferably in Sydney?
What would one cost me 2nd hand?

Cheers all, thanks for any help.

i know yuo said you are looking for a honda, but if you cant source one of those maybe look at a magna 3.5ltr V6..... they are one hell of an engine

Would an electronic throttle be a hindrance?

Terrible One

If it's going into a buggy then I'll take a stab and guess it'll have an aftermarket ECU which will negate the need to keep the Fly-By-Wire. A normal throttle body could be used.

Doesn't MDX have 3.5 as well?

Otherwise a 6G74 Magna engine
But they are heavy cast iron
Though extremely strong and respond crazy to mods!
Just intake, headers exhaust, cams and piggyback computer will get you over 200 fwkw in them

cheers guys.

We're going with the 3.4L 3mz-fe vvt-i from the late model camrys. Lightweight, good torque and if you get them to breathe, good HP. Besides, its the same bolt pattern as our existing 4.0L so it saves us a buttload in adaptor plate, engine mounts etc etc etc...

Thanx for ur input though.
