where i find the PCD of a rim?

my friend got a
94 VW GOLF GL 2.0
and i want to find out the PCD of the stock rims.
cant seem to find it in the manual
is there anyway to find out other than by measuring it and comparing with other rims?
any websites?

just measure it will the ruler !
other wise, it should be marked in the inside of the rim

yeah, just take off the the wheel, it should say it on the wheel itself.

well i measured it and compared with my civic. it seem longer than 4x100 so i assume its 4x114.3?

but then i saw a site on ebay that it said all VW < 1998 is 4x100 ?!

which way are you measuring it?

You need to measure diagonally across the wheel from the centre of one stud to the centre of the oppossing stud.

so measure the distance of the top and bottom holes and multiply by 1.414 ? (4 stud)

If you measured from the middle of the stud across to the middle of the other stud (in mm) and it came out to 100, then it means your pcd 4x100.

in the door jam there may b also a sticker stating stock rim size, pcd as well if u cant find/measure

Audis, which are made by VW are 112 diameter PCD. As with most other euro cars (except for BMW = 120), so to be hoenst, don't bet on it.
