Hey, i just bought a 2nd hand x force header and some exhaust shops say that i will almsot guarante to leak and wont even install them for me, but i found a place that will do it.
Have any of you who have installed 2nd hand headers have problems with leaking?

they are full of crap and just want to sell you a new set
there is no problem with using second hand headers unless they are wharpped or dmaged
just use a new quality gasket and it will be all fine

awesome thanks guys :D
yeh i thought it sounded like crap, would have done it myself but where the old header is connected to the cat the two spring loaded bolts are sooo tight it messed up some wrenches - looks like they ill have to be cut off.
you actually need some bolt penetrator...its some solution
read about it in my workshop guide lol

its so straight foward tho! undo your headder bolts from the head, undo the side and under side brackets undo the o2 sensor then the last two spring loaded flange bolts... now do it in reverse with new gaskets to your second hand headder...

yes it is a simple job, and they are on now, the bolts were seriously tough though lol.

Never done it myself but jus got a curious question? do u need to put honda bond on the gasket before puting the head on or do you jus bolt it straight on with out it, coz i plan to do it myslef soon also.

put some gasket sealant on both sides of the gasket when u install the headers. i dont think the brand really matters.
