hey everyone!
not sure if its been covered for d series engine, i know its been done for the B's...
how compatible are the d series gearboxs with eachother? if anyone knows of any links to sites that have it written up or know first hand could you post it up please?
eg. would a d15b or ZC trans swap onto a d16y?
thanks!!!

most if not all D series boxes DO fit other D series blocks , but driveshaft splines can be different...IE you can use the driveshafts made for the particular gearbox etc.
Yes a d15b/Zc/d16a8 will fit , but they are aged and no doubt different ratios/FD compared to so why would you ?

just my y4 tranny has fairly average ratios for what i use it for... whether i get my hands on another dseries gearbox that may be better suited. even if it is older, new bearings and checking condition could turn out a cheap change to the car...
plus just curious...
thanx for the info/replys!!!

Yeah just be careful.
Because the EG Si driveshafts don't fit the EG vti gearbox.
