DIY Panel beating

Hi anyone with some tips on DIY panel beating, surprisingly little info on the web.

Im looking to take on some pretty decent smash damage. Stripped the interior already, popped a couple dents out with my hands (damn that feels good, i wanna do it for everyones car) but have bigger ones to take on and wouldnt mind some suggestions.

using a plunger is a decent way of taking out BALL + CAR type Dents.

yeah that would make sense for small dents. ive heard of using magnets and hair dryers for small ones. im taking on crash damage, the rear qtr panel is bent right out of shape. was thinking of essentially pulling it back, but is there a sexier way?

cut it out and weld in a new quarter.

yeah that is a last resort, really dont feel like cutting the qtr panel. actually only bent/smashed at the cnr tail light section of the qtr panel. sorta where the bumper meets the cnr light meet the qtr panel. bent in a couple of inches. took out the smashed cnr light and the metal behind looks torn.

not to demotivate you but when you don't panel beat it properly you end up doing more damage to the panels and will cost you more if you end up getting it done by a pro. every time you push/hit/smack/whatever the panel you're re-bending it and making the metal weak.

panel beating should be left to the professionals, its very dangerous to attempt it your self, some of you might be able to do it, let me explain. your entire car is put together via metal skins, so your qualter panel is a skin, your doors are skins, and your raditor support is a skin, you normally have a inside "support skin" and a outside skin. which mount together via spot welds. now, just say you hit your raditator support, e.g. the front end. you can simply undo your bumper and other stuff around it untill you get to your raditator support, then if you look carefully, you will notice all the spot welds, you will need a drill, so you drill out all the spot welds, then the front end simply comes off like you just undid a bonnet. ,then you get your new front end, and spot weld it on., hence you need basic drill skills and welding skills. ,and this is provided that your rail support is not bent, in which case you need a robot to pull it,.
