Hello Members

I sat in the rear of my car yesterday. I noticed a strange lever handle attached on the left side of the drivers seat. I cant find any info in the owners manual or search here.

Does anyone know what its for??

Not at home near car nor camera at moment.

The handle is attached to the drivers seat (back/body rest portion) about quarter of the way up the side of the seat left hand side.

Yup, ZEi20T is right, it's the lumbar support. I like having it 1/2 way up.

after driving my S15 for 4 years. having adjustable lumbar support in my seat is heaven! no longer do I have back aches after a long day behind the wheel

i guess the suspension might have affected that :P but that extra support certainly helps!

Its just a handle on the side of the seat you turn, which pushes a bar in the seat's backrest into your middle back area causing an awkward driving position lol

lol it gives you lower back support :)

it forces you to sit upright in the seat so you arent slumped while driving thus causing back problems and soreness

its funny these small things, that you never notice

i wish the euro had seat hieight adjustment tho, as in, the seat actually can go up, or down. mazda 3 has it

Luxury model has full height adjustment. Base model doesn't... CD accords had manual seat adjustment but electrical height adjustment!

doesnt the base model have a handle down towards the front on the right hand side of the seat that you 'pump' it up and down with?

my wifes 05 standard model does.

Yes but it only raises the rear of the seat, so raising it slants the seat forward which can be uncomfortable especially when braking - ur body moves forward too easily.

If the CD4 could have manual everything but full electronic height adjustment, why couldn't the base Euro have it and Honda charge us an extra $200?
