:?: I was looking through some old receipts of my EK CXI civic from previous services (before I owned it) and it says "advanced timing 12degrees" what would this of achieved? does it mean I have an aftermarket cam? as it had under drive pulleys and a big induction pipe on it he may of put some money into the gizzards as well? how can i tell :?:

Wynode edit: Next time think of an appropriate title because this IS the technical section. I took the effort to update your title so please make the effort next time.

Just reffers to your ignition timing. IE give you Dizzy a bit of a turn ;)

Like the above what would the gains be on a D16Y4 engine?

After advancing my timing and runing 98octane I felt a slight increase in pull at low RPM.

Are you serious? Lets hope it doesn't PING or detonate and destroy your engine.
