Yeah. Good effort. But I reackon get rid of those two little bits left on the sides. Maybe spray the mesh black.

You could have a go at patching the holes with some scrap plastic glued behind it and some plasti bond or something. You'd just need a can of touch up paint. Would probably only work if the hole is reasonably small

UPDATE AND PICS

ok so i got the sprayed grill on and had a think about how i am gunna get rid of the gill part
so here are some pics of what i decided to do.....
it was either cut sraight through or sand on the bend and use a heat gun to perfect it .... i decided to do it this way for the moment cuase i can change it later if needs be
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/Samscar021.jpg
once cut
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/Samscar022.jpg
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/Samscar023.jpg
this is the hole it will leave and if i sand the entire gill down it will leave a cuved one....
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/stanleym_69/Samscar025.jpg
i decided to re use the part i cut off so i can fill in the hole (the white bit is maskin tape on top of the old blue piece)
by doing this i can use grout and then some touch up paint after sanding down the edge properly

wat do u guys think of this approach to the situation

suggest things if u think it wont work etc
i will be cleaning up all the cut parts - does look a bit sketchy but will ba all sanded down etc
cheers

ahh yea i see wat ur sayin ... i ended upusing a putty to fill it as it is thicker than the taped bit could move easilt as it wasn't attahced to everythin
