Hi all,

further to my conversion plans i need to find out more info..

Source
Engine: B16A is from a JDM LS (XSi / GS-R) Integra 89-93 (AUTO Trans)

Engine going into MA2/EF9 Honda Concerto PGM-FI - Cable Tranny.

The questions are:

1) Will i need new engine mounts? or will it bolt up?

2) If i was to use an Intergra LS Cable tranny - will the g/box engine mount bolt on? (if looking at the engine bay its the left top mount)

3) Does anyone know if the ECU is a OBD0 (Pw0/Pr3) or OBD1 (P28/30)?

4) Is the JDM Integra with the B16A are OBD0 or OBD1 ?

NEED HELP URGENTLY as the conversion is taking place in 1 week.

Cheers!

use a Y1 tranny from a XSi or something

B16A from integra is OBD0

D16Z1 from Concerto is OBD0

your mounts will not line up

custome all the way

There is a dude with a concerto and has a B16A off a EF CRX/Civic and it bolted up with no custom mounts - considering its using the CRX/Civic Tranny. <-- this is what confuses me ..coz i have seen it

but since im going to be using the same engine but came out of an Integra wouldnt it be the same? what about the g/box from the Integra - are they the same as the CRX/Civic B16A?

This is why i was told that i had to use an Integra LS cable tranny as the engine im using currently has AUTO tranny.

concerto is a D series engine,

I havnt doen this convertion before but the way the engine bay looks, id say you have to get mounts.

the integra cable tranny is the same as the SiR gearbox, they both use the Y1 tranny.

its worth a shot to try and mount it with stock mounts. you may have to cut the mount brackets off the body of the car and reweld them a different position. ( that could be why they used stock mounts on the car you saw )

or it might be a straight bolt in.

theres the issue: the one you saw had a donor engine from an EF, yours is coming from a DA. its entirely possible, and most probable, that the EF and DA use different mounts despite using the same engine. just like comparing a DC2 with an EK.
best bet will be to source some mounts from an EF9, or as mentioned go custom. HASport make them.
using the tranny from an LS will be crap as the ratios are way too long for a B16A. you'll be hitting 75km/h in 1st but taking forever to get there due to the shit gearing. you can get away with those ratios with a B18A because they have torque. get a Y1 and do it proper.
