Hey ppl,

Wanted to get an idea of ppl's opinions on the optimax extreme 100 octane petrol with added ethanol.

I'm told that Ethanol burns at a higher temperature and some say it may have adverse effects on your car over time.

I tried Extreme the other day in an EG and noticed a small improvement in response.

What are other ppl's experiences?

Wanna know what ppl think about feeding a DC2 ITR, prem only, with Opt Extreme?

there have been plenty of discussions on the use of higher octane fuel in our cars, and similary for ethanol.

search first, then ask

there is nothing 'special' about optimax extreme. its higher octane petrol, the attributes of which HAVE BEEN COVERED, and it has ethanol, the effects of which HAVE ALSO BEEN COVERED.

I use it in my vtir when I intend to go for longer drives, example down south on the freeways etc, mainly just because I get a bit better response with acceleration. As I don't use it very often, haven't seen any adverse effects with it. Usually just pour normal optimax for sydney driving.
