Hey guys,

I'm lookin to buy some Accord Euro headlights, simply to get the HID projectors for a retrofit :)

But I can't tell whether these headlights have the projectors, or whether they're just the normal halogen? cos it seems the halogen headlights look pretty identical?

eg. do these have the proejctors in them? or are the halogen?

how bout these?

I know this isn't your question but wouldn't it be more cost effective to buy an aftermarket HID kit? That way you know you get all the wiring and "stuff" you need to get the HID to work.

2 x Euro headlights would end up costing you at least a few hundred $$$.

ps. What car do you have - i am assuming not the standard euro (there are threads talking about whether the HIDs on the lux can be fit easily on the standard. The answer is no)?

Hey yfin,

I've got a 5th gen lude. The reason i dont want an aftermarket HID kit is that I don't just want to put H1 HID's in my headlights - i've seen it done on my car and it results in a lot of glare.. i want to use proper HID projectors :)

but why so keen on buying a whole set? i mean, u can just buy a pair of projecotrs freshly off from Audi or Bimmer... and some of them come with OEM ballsts... so all u needed are a pair of D2S HID bulbs and labour+time to retrofit the projectors into ur 5th gen prelude...
something like this:

cheers mate =)

The only reason is that the headlights aren't that expensive ($350ish delivered to my door). I'd get some TSX projectors from the US but the cutoff is on the wrong side and would blind drivers here in Aus (since we drive on the left).

I really want the accord euro projectors and the only way of finding the RHD projectors is from the whole headlights! hope that explains it :)

that said, i might just get some e46 projectors and save some money.

thanks anyway!

Wise choice stoff!
Nice to see someone doing things the right way. Those kits are horrendous, saw two preludes a few days ago, featuring 8000k hid kits, I tell you there was almost no foreground lighting, all the light was being thrown all over the place.
