where can i see some prices on the mugen? but i already planned that i don't think i will ever get the kit for my euro. so only mayb grille.
there's 2 mugen 06 kit, and one of them i don't think it fits without changing the whole front bumper. so i m guess the sport one's easilest to do.
i m just worried about the size of the sport grille.
stephen8512
20-08-2006, 03:43 PM
why are u worried abou the size of the sports grille?
the sports grille is the euro R grille and it fits exactly on the euro 06 OEM bumper. it was made for it

Mugen 06 grille
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41317&highlight=mugen+06+grille
I think the mugen grille is designed to replace your stock grille, just like the EuroR grille.
IMO, the EuroR grille preserves the classy look of the Euro, whereas the Mugen grille gives a more aggressive look.
And i think the Mugen is going to be more expensive than the EuroR griile.

Sport grill (06 euroR grill) will fit on the 06 Euro no problem, straight fit out.
I have it on my 06.

Hmm, not liking the 06 mugen grill. It makes the euro look like an EK civic. I prefer the 03-05 mugen grill.

corn flakes... pure sex mate! the sports grill looks spot on on your car.
Suntzu, you want the euroR grill for the 03-05... the 06 grill will not fit the 03-05 euro

I still like the honeycomb 04/05 euro R grill better, same with the MK5 Golf GTI grill!

06 grilles won't fit your 05. You need the older Mugen (mesh with the love it or hate it gap) or EuroR (honeycomb) grille.

Yep I installed grill. It's a simple DIY as long as your familar with how the front grill is assembled, will take around 30min to complete.
The euroR emblem comes complete with a back piece that you screw on to the front grill to hold it in place. All up will cost you around $400 to do the grill.
I negotiated the euro sport kit into the price of the car when I ordered it so I'm not sure how much it is on its own.
Looking back at some old dealer quotes it looks like genuine Honda sport BK (EuroR kit) will cost around $3500-$4000K from dealer without fitting.
Hope this helps.

No euroR badge is seperate and does not come with the grill.
You can get the badge from Boomplus Toys with the backing mount.

No additional trim piece required for 06 because there's no bonnet insert. The EuroR grilles are different for 03-05 to 06, same as all the others.

i got my 03-05 honeycomb euroR grille from Chris @ ISmotor.
I paid 200 for the grille. The package has the 'Genuine Honda' Sticker, so i assume its the real deal. If you want the colour trim, you have to pay extra though.
Fitment wise, i was very happy with it. Install was very easy. I didnt install it though. The guys at the workshop didnt need to take the bumper off.
The grille doesnt come with the euroR badge though. It can be purchased at an additional cost. It might look good having a euroR badge on ur grille, but i personally think ur car is not a euroR, and it shouldnt be advertised being one.

There is always the option of modding the stock 06 grill, such as blackening the whole thing to somewhat mimick the sports/mugen grills.
Did mine today, no good pics yet though. night + black car = bad photo lol.

you can go for mugen grill (that's what on eurodude's avatar) (either genuine or replica), or the euro-r grill (which I prefer).

on my car (03) i realised the grille is coloured matched to my carbon graphite paint
can anyone confirm this on their cars of the same colour and different ones?
i fink the white euros have black grilles and same goes for all the others but i wasnt sure if carbon graphite ones had matching coloured grilles
i reckon that would make it look nicer than the stickers though but wateva tickles u fancy go for it

The grills on the 03-05 are all the same colour as far as I am aware. It looks like a grey/black - or gunmetal regardless of the paint colour.

if u want go mugen style, u better get mugen grille. which is nothing at the front, u can leave it or put a mugen badge.
http://www.mugen-power.com/street/accord/wallpaper/image/wp2-800.jpg
if u want go euro R style, u can get the grille and H badge (which colour is up to u).
http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCORDEURO-R/photo-lib/image/photo01.jpg
OR u can take away ur old grille and just customing the front.

No need for the front grille cover at all. I fitted a Euro-R/Type S/Sport grille to mine a few weeks ago, the oem radiator cover fits perfectly.
There are however two parts which are missing from that parts diagram though - they are described as the left + right air guides - essentially little air deflectors which sit behind the grille to deflect air towards the centre. I've seen these parts included as part of the grille set from some parts importers - they are parts # 71124-sea-900 and 71125-sea-900. They're not essential, but I figure that Honda must've put them there for a reason!
EDIT: Also, the picture above is for a pre-facelift, not facelift!

Not a problem mate!
I got mine from japanparts.com - mine came in at 22800 yen for parts + 4289 yen for EMS shipping, total of 27089 yen. I got a 1400yen discount as I'd racked up some loyalty points with them, and it worked out to just over $310AUD back when the exchange rate was higher a bit higher. Also came with brand new screws and clips, which came in useful as I managed to break some of the old brittle clips even though I used a genuine Honda clip popping tool.

Sounds good! Mind if I ask where you're getting yours from? I'm always on the lookout for good parts importers!

yea nws,, i got it from where the others got it from earlier in this thread, IS Motor Racing at Rockdale, got the whole set without the radiator cover for 290 incl installation, so not a bad price i reckon.

Definitely a good price there! You'll be happy with it - the sports grille looks so much better than the Grandpa-spec lux grille even without the Sports/Euro-R lip kit.
