I don't know what's going on but when I try to upload photos it gets processed as normal but I get red x's. I can select them from the folders on my computer, and I can put in titles and keywords and all of that, and then I click on submit and then on the next page where it's supposed to show the thumbnails I get another red x. I know I'm not doing anything wrong (or different to any other time I've used these sort of galleries). Can someone help me with this please?

Thanks, I can definitely see that photo you uploaded. I might play around with my settings and see if that fixes anything.
Are all the steps I listed correct? Did I miss anything? I'm pretty sure there isn't some secret box to tick or a special word to enter, so I'll have to leave it for now.
You can delete that photo btw.
Thanks again for your help.

OptusNet Cable. Don't see why it doesn't work. Shame though. I still get the same thing, I can see all the thumbnails but the large photo is a big red x. But the thumbnails work, so obviously the photo has been uploaded right, I just don't see why it won't show the full size.

I an see your images fine in post #7.
Also your problem is different to the first post. You're talking about attachments.....not the gallery.

LOL nah.
Probably to do with the image-cache and the fact that our images are served off a US server.

I'm seeing the image fine. I think its to do with you being overseas and the fact that our images are severed from a US server. It'll show up on your PC after so many hours (not sure how many).
Also, don't take this personally but I won't / don't put too much priority on attachments being posted up for off topic posts.

wyn, why does OH run of a image-cache? is it really needed?

Yes. if it wasn't needed we wouldn't have it!
